Tonight we wanted to have a good meal again ... at the old post office. After almost an hour of comfortable sitting and drinking beer, the food was still not there. All around the tables that came after us already had their dishes! After we asked for the bill, the food suddenly came ... We paid and only our drinks and then left. An absolute no-go for a restaurant in this class !!! 😒 Sometime again, but that will take a while!

Best restaurant in Holzkirchen, great food. Always worth an overnight stay on the way to Croatia!

It was our fourth stay at the hotel. The rooms are very nice and the staff was, as always, very friendly and accommodating. The food in the in-house restaurant is great and highly recommended. For breakfast it can be said that in terms of variety and the products used, it is one of the best that we have been able to enjoy in hotels so far and there were also some 5 * hotels.

I got good Bavarian food just as I wanted. The service to it was perfect.

Both wallets stolen from the room where you can enter only with magnetic card. After that lady of the house was extremely rude and offensive. First she told us we were lying, then they didn’t want to call police, we had to do it ourselves. It happened when we were at breakfast around the corner. We were there with two small kids, 2 and 3 yo, and were left with no money nor documents traveling to Luxembourg. I immediately called my bank in Luxembourg and they told me there was already attempt of withdrawing the money at the bankomat around the corner. The lady was too rude, we were in big trouble in their hotel and she didn’t offer any help or maybe discharge us from hotel costs. We stayed at this hotel because one of our cars broke down near Münich. She didn’t even say goodbye and we were treated like we were criminals whereas someone from the people who work there entered our room between breakfast and was a criminal. without the card that someone couldn’t enter the room. We cooperated with the detective who showed us the image of the guy at the bankomat and told us they think it was the son of someone in hotel but days later said it wasn’t... So this was so stressful situation that you can’t imagine. We continued to Lux with literally 2 euros. I wouldn’t write all this if we were treated at least normally. I still own all the e-mails and writings from police to prove it. It happened couple of years ago but I still feel resentment especially towards the “lady”. Can’t be in the business if you treat guests (who were stolen in your hotel) like that.

I recommend knuckle, I have been going on it for years. The hotel is very elegant.

We were here for lunch. Excellent, friendly service and a great meal, which was not a problem to change in portion size or composition. Not eaten so well in a long time.

I say - great. There were four of us there to eat today. Beautiful ambience, very nice and attentive service and fantastic food. We all had a soup as a starter and then a burgundy roast, plate meat, roast suckling pig and a roast venison. Top - deserved 5 stars

Nice place, but no AC in summer hot days I can't sleep...staff is very kind, hotel looks like old bavorian building so you can feel the atmosphere here, it’s great...hotel restaurant is open only in few days in week, which is a little bit unpleasant, but in general this is great place to stay

The room is modern, very clean and spacious. The breakfast is special, of high quality and nothing is missing. The coffee is very good, there are different, very good bread and pastries to choose from, eggs can be ordered in a wide variety of varieties. Sparkling wine is available. We decided to have dinner in the hotel. The food tasted very good and plentiful. Unfortunately we have to add that the service was rude and rude. The hotel bar invites you to linger (very cozy) and the barman is very friendly. In summary, we would definitely visit this hotel again, it is furnished with great attention to detail and we felt welcome! (very nice and courteous hotel manager)

Great place. Very kind stuff, beautiful environment, beautiful rooms which are cleaned daily. Also restaurant is really good. I would definitely recommend it!

The hotel reception is open only till 10:30pm, however if you come late they can leave you a key in a coded box outside. It's a typical German county side hotels, but they renovated some rooms which actually now look very fresh and modern

I stayed here 2 years in a row for Oktoberfest. Took the train on to Müchen and back after a good day of drinking. The resturant in the hotel was amazing. Some of the best German food I've had and the character of the hotel was unmatched. I can't wait to go back and make more great memories.

Great local food with a large vegetarian option available. Very friendly and traditional staff.

Bit on the expensive side at 120 per night, but nice room with spectacular breakfast.

About €100 for a 4 bed room incl breakfast (some years ago). Very nice room and an excellent brekfast. Lovely staff.
